Welcome to the Office of First Year Advising and Exploration (FYAE)! Throughout your Freshman year, FYAE will be your academic advising office at UCF. Your assigned first year academic advisor will communicate with you throughout the year about important dates, programs, and services.

Summer Orientation Advising
For students admitted for Summer and Fall 2013, congratulations on your admissions to the University of Central Florida! FYAE advisors look forward to assisting you during your summer orientation session. Please visit Knight Source for more information on how to prepare to work with your academic advisor during orientation. You can visit the First Year Experience orientation website to plan your orientation date.
Last Day for Appointments with FYAE
For students admitted in Summer or Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 the last day appointments will be scheduled with an FYAE advisor is May 03. You can visit College Connections for information about your new advising office. Prior to May 03, if you need to schedule an appointment, please call the front desk at 407/823-3789 or stop by Howard Phillips Hall 116. We wish you great success at UCF and beyond!
College Connections
At the conclusion of the Spring 2013 semester you will transition to the college advising office of your major or the Sophomore & Second Year Center (if undeclared). Visit College Connections to learn more about your college advising office. After planning your Summer/Fall 2013 schedule with your FYAE advisor, go to the “submit schedule” link at the top of the website and submit your schedule for review. Your college advising office will provide by email any feedback concerning your course selections.
