Welcome to the office of First Year Advising and Exploration (FYAE)! FYAE is the primary academic advising office for first-time-in-college (FTIC) students. We will begin our advising relationship with you at orientation through the conclusion of your first year at UCF. For students who are undecided upperclassmen, FYAE will assist you with exploring majors and careers.
News and Announcements
You are required to complete the First Year Advising online modules before attending your orientation session. These modules will prepare you for course selection and registration at orientation. You will receive access to the modules approximately two weeks before your orientation session. Follow these steps to access the modules:
- Visit UCF Webcourses and log in using your NID and NID password. Note: This is the same information you use to log into myUCF. Use the NID Reset Tool to reset your password, if needed.
- After you have successfully logged in, access the “First Year Advising Modules" from the UCF Webcourses dashboard. Open the dashboard from the navigation menu on the left side of the screen, if the dashboard is not already opened.
- Click on the course title and begin the modules with our welcome video.
The First Year Advising modules should take you approximately 25 minutes to complete. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these modules, please contact us and we will respond within 24-48 business hours.
