Valencia College Partnership
Enrolling in Prep Courses
CAP students who must enroll in MAT 0022C will be required to dual enroll at UCF and Valencia College. These students will complete the VC (Valencia College) application process when they attend their orientation session over the summer. During orientation these CAP students will:
Complete an online transient student form which provides documentation of state residency to Valencia so that appropriate tuition and fees are applied.
For the convenience of UCF CAP students, any applicable Valencia tuition and fees are added to the UCF fee invoice each semester. CAP students are responsible for paying tuition and fees associated with all prep course(s) by the due date listed on their UCF Fee Invoice (this includes tuition for for courses and a separate $5 transient fee). VC prep courses are paid for via a student's myUCF account. Failure to pay for prep courses by the due date will result in your prep courses being dropped.
UCF CAP students dual enrolled with Valencia to complete prep courses must discuss their financial aid award enrollment requirements with the UCF Financial Assistance Office prior to orientation and the add / drop deadline to ensure they are enrolled in the minimum credit hours needed to receive their aid. We are not responsible for the loss of any financial aid award due to a lack of UCF credit hours.
Atlas is VC's online learning community that connects VC students to the resources they need. It's basically their version of your myUCF account. UCF CAP students taking a VC prep course will need to create an Atlas account so that they are able to access email communication from their prep course professors. This is also where students will be able to check their grades.
All textbooks associated with VC prep courses will be available to students in the Valencia College bookstore. Students must bring their photo ID and a copy of their schedule showing their Valencia class when they go to purchase their book(s).
