After the first year, students who are not First-Time-in-College (FTIC) students are eligible to meet with FYAE academic advisors for a major and career exploration appointment. Students who are undeclared or undecided or those who have a declared major, but are not certain what major they want to change to, may schedule an appointment with our office.

Students with declared majors must meet with the college advising of their major. Information on the college advising office of your major is available on the College Connections website.

Appointment Process

  • Call 407/823-3789 or visit the FYAE front desk at Trevor Colbourn Hall 133 to schedule a 30 minute appointment
  • Prior to your advising appointment complete the Major Exploration Program Intake Survey
  • Prepare for your appointment by reviewing the Major Exploration Program exploration resources.
  • Meet with the advisor at your scheduled appointment to explore major options and next steps

What to Expect

You will complete an individualized major and career exploration appointment based on your specific goals and needs. The major exploration appointment will not include schedule planning. A separate schedule planning appointment would need to be arranged with the appropriate college advising office at a later date.
